True.

True.

Music soothes the soul.

Another piece…what piece that is I’m not sure.

My friend Donna is writing a book! It’s about modern women unsure of where they belong in the world! Can’t wait to read the finished product.

On the wine. Should be a fine wine time.

I love that this glass can fit a whole bottle, makes me feel better about the whole thing.

A photo of me. I turned into something far more interesting. Boredom sometimes breeds creativity.

IT’S FINISHED!

My album is complete. It’s strange to say that given I’ve been working on it for 2 plus years. I went for a sound and scope that is not like everything else out there and for a vocal style that fits with the subject matter of each song. It was hard work! There were tears! Doubts! Tantrums and a hell of a lot of laughs.

I can’t wait to share these stories from my life and these pieces of my heart. I wanted the album as a whole to sound like an old scratched record. I wanted the songs to sound lived in, so the listener can pick up on the atmosphere, the mistakes and the blood sweat and tears.

In short I wanted this to be as raw as fuck! Excuse my language, and I can’t wait to start posting them on here for everyone to hear. I want to use this opportunity to thank everyone who’s helped me. Supported me. Been there for me pushing me on when I started thinking there was no longer a point. Even if no one listens I finished a dream of mine, and I followed my gut. The album isn’t a diamond…it’s certainly the rough…but I’m not exactly a diamond either so it seemed fitting.

Lots of love
Xoxo

These are the lyrics for “Cursed”. A song I wrote about when you reach a certain point and have so many bad relationships to look back on you start seeing love or being in love in a very negative light.

(Written by: D.Fox/Robbie)

Pick me roses with your bare hands
Shake my hand
Watch cream turn to red

CHORUS:
Am I cursed to walk alone?
Not to have, not to hold
All I know all that I see is this curse

See how long I can hold my breath
Hold me under, under and guess
As I grasp for air you just stare

REPEAT CHORUS:

Don’t let go, don’t let go, break me free, break me free oh oh oh
Don’t let go, don’t let go, break me free, break me free, oh oh oh

La la la la la, la la la oh
La la la la la, la la la oh

(Music interlude)

REPEAT CHORUS:

Am I cursed
To walk alone?

These are the lyrics for “Queer”. The first song I ever wrote when I was about 12-13, which I had to put on my album…even if it didn’t really fit with everything else around it. I think it speaks for itself, I recorded it without any music, it’s just a vocal.

Written by: Robbie

Your not ready your so afraid
Of how they’ll look at you
You don’t want them to know the truth
‘Cos what would happen if they knew..?

CHORUS:
You hide a face you cannot hide
You cry yourself to sleep at night
You pray to god when you wake
Your dreams will come true

You want nothing, nothing more
Then to feel good in your skin
But you feel like you never will
‘Cos who could love a “queer” like you?

REPEAT CHORUS:

There’s alienation, stereotypes
Hurtful words you can’t fight off
You dodge bullets you dodge bombs
Can’t see why it’s made seem so wrong
How many people do you have to fight?
How many more sleepless nights?
How many scars deep inside?
How many times…
How many times…have you cried?

How many times…
How many times…have you…

REPEAT CHORUS:
